Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited(SCB) has been in operation in Nepal since 1987 when it was initially registered as a joint-venture operation. Today, SCB Bank is an integral part of Standard Chartered Group having ownership of 70.21% in the company with 29.79% shares owned by the Nepalese public. The SCB enjoys the status of the only international bank currently operating in Nepal.

SCB has given very attractive dividends to the shareholders. In the past 22 years, SCB has given an average of 76.40% dividends to shareholders. It is one of the highest dividend-giving companies in Nepal. But the dividend has fallen over the last 2 couple of years.
